I have to admit that I love doing courses. I am passionate about learning. It was an ongoing joke amongst my peers whilst I was training that I was never satisfied with doing just one course at a time. Below is a list of some of the more recent ones!
• NICABM Treating Trauma Master & Advanced Series • Using Compassion-Focused Therapy for Trauma • Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Maté • Breathwork for Trauma • How to work with the Traumatised Brain • Working with Shame • Dealing with Distress - Working with Suicide & Self-Harm • Self Harm as Survival • Child Sexual Abuse - Hope for Healing • Cultural Responsiveness in Counselling & Psychotherapy • Working with Neurodivergent Clients Using the Autism Dialogue Approach • Alice in Wonderland Syndrome & Complex PTSD • Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Maté • The Body Remembers - the interplay of regulation, self-care & vicarious trauma • Trauma-Informed Practice: Treating Complex PTSD • Exploring Trauma from a Person-Centred Perspective • Working with Relational Trauma: Dealing with Disorganised Attachment • Trauma, Dissociation & the Person-Centred Approach • Working with Dissociative Disorders in Clinical Practice • The Impact of Trauma at Different Developmental Stages • Relational Trauma, PCA & Neurodivergence • Suicide in Historically Marginalised Communities • EMDR & the PCA: Collaboration or Conflict? • Ultimate EMDR Toolkit - Level 1
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
OUTDOORS
I have many years of working (and playing) outdoors. I have taken students to far flung countries and supported expeditions closer to home. Ensuring I have the right training to work with clients therapeutically outdoors is important, Joining the 8 month Certificate programme in Contact-Oriented Psychotherapy in a Nature Setting through the Heart Wood charity has given me the space to reflect on my own relationship with Nature and how I can support clients therapeutically in the outdoors.
